Now I am starting again using this fabulous yarn, smaller needles and half the stitches cast on.

HEY! welcome to MBC! I am a novice knitter myself! So I can appreciate your handy work. I have TONS of Yarn, TONS of needles, TONS of inspiring knitting books, and ZERO to show for it. LOL The stuff I did make, my friends too pity on me and agreed to take my pitiful crafts.
