3 days and counting

We move in 3 days. The house just seems very empty at this point. It is a little sad :( Although it is rather easy to keep clean this way. Especially since all of the toys are packed away. The girls are excited but every once in awhile they mention how they will miss their friends and their schools. We have really enjoyed living in Pleasant Hill. We love the small town feel. It is comforting to go to the schools and know all of the other parents. You have to plan on running in to at least 2-3 of people whenever you go to the grocery store or even better the girls running into their friends. There isn't really anything that we didn't love about living here besides the distance from our family and also our church. Our new home is minutes from both. We are looking forward to being back in the middle of the action.

In other news, Coryn crawled out of her crib today for the first time. She proceeded to empty her diaper pail before I figured out that there was someone moving around in there. Gross! She went down later for her nap in it with no problems. Hopefully she'll stay in it a bit longer. Mama isn't quite ready to move her to a big girl bed yet.

Hopefully the next time I post it will be with pictures of our new house all situated.

Little Girl :(, House Stuff and Soccer Stud

Coryn is sick :( We were working over at the new house, and she was with my mom. When they showed up at the house she wanted to go straight to her bed. She slept an hour and a half and then got up all fussy. When she snuggled into me, I realized she was on fire. So I left my big old mess in the kitchen and packed her off for home. She is back in bed now. Please say prayers that she'll get better soon. It is such a busy week to have a sick little one.

As for the house....it looks like everything is on schedule. We are doing cleanup right now and J.R. was busy today building shelves in our storage area in the basement. Those suckers go up 12 feet! That is just crazy. We are going to need one of those library sliding ladder things to reach anything. I guess we'll just store all of his crap...oops I mean cherished belongings...up there.

And finally David Beckham's got nothing on my soccer star. Tara scored 3 goals during her game this morning!! THREE! And one of them was a total powerhouse kick and the ball flew over the goalies head. It was very exciting. I am really trying not to be "that" soccer mom, but hey when your kid is the star, it's hard to be modest :oP

An Apple a day.

This was the only shot of the 3 girls from
Easter LOL!

Here is my apple eating princess!

10 More Days

I can't believe we are actually moving into our new home in 10 days.

We have been working so hard and it has really paid off. Every inch of every wall has been painted, the basement is almost finished, the hardwood needs a final coat and all that is really left is a really good cleaning which is my big project for next week. It is all very exciting and probably even more so because there is so much of our own work in it. It looks like a different house inside.

The kids have met a few of the neighbors and enjoy going and playing with their new friends. I think Ella is starting to like boys because she gets herself all ready every time we go over there. It is a bit entertaining and scary all at the same time.

We still have a BIG list of things to do, so the next 10 days will be busy, but it is a good busy and it is all worth it.

I suck at Blogging

I really do suck at this blogging thing. We have excuses though.

The big one is.....We are moving!

We bought a foreclosure and closed on it last Thursday. It is going to be some work, but will be a gorgeous home when all the work is completed. We are already off schedule. Hopefully work will begin on Thursday of this week. We hope to be in our new home by May, if not earlier.

We also just got back from a very relaxing, kid free, working vacation to Santa Barbara. It was wonderful, but I am glad to be home since we have so much going on.

We are always busy with the kids of course. Ella and Tara are both in gymnastics, Tara is starting soccer soon and once the weather is nice, hopefully Ella can get back to riding Robbie. Maybe I'll even ride some more.

Coryn is busy all the time and quite vocal now about what she wants and doesn't want. She is a bit spoiled, because besides having two doting parents, she also has two big sisters who adore her. She knows this ;)

We are all looking forward to spring and getting out and about. We'll let you know our new address via snail mail once we are settled in the new place.

Coryn is almost 1!!! Ella and Tara are back in school.

No it can't be. In less than two weeks my baby is going to turn 1! I am not ready. I wanted her to stay a baby just a bit longer. Why does life have to fly by so fast? We are having a monkey party for her and I got her the sweetest pink monkey dress.

Tara started Kindergarten two weeks ago and Ella started 3rd grade. They are at different schools this year, Tara at the Primary and Ella at the Elementary. They will never go to school together until high school. They are both loving their classes and so far seem to be doing fine although I know that a few months/weeks down the road that too could change.

They are both playing soccer and will probably start to enjoy it once they are actually playing games and it isn't almost 100 out!

We are planning a quick family weekend to St. Louis sometime this fall and will take the train there. We love St. Louis. It is such a great city for a quick trip. Great zoo, children's museum, restaurants, and shopping. I love to visit St. Charles too, but the kids probably won't enjoy that so we'll skip that this go around. We are taking them up in the arch for the first time. Wish me luck as I get a little nauseous even thinking about it.
